Welcome to the Finnish gender statistics website!


The website provides gender related indicators on municipal and regional level. The indicators are developed at the Department of Public Administration at Åbo Akademi University, in a project financed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.


The indicators help monitoring women's situation as compared to men's in different parts of the country. The user-friendly website is for everyone interested in gender equality and local goverment issues. It offers data from a broad range of fields - including population and families, education, working life, income, political decision-making, child care and health.
